Life force is a subtle energy that surrounds and flows through pathways via chakras, meridians, and nadis in all living beings. The life force nourishes all the cells in the body and supports their functioning. When your life force is low, you are likely to feel weak. You will be susceptible to illness. Strengthening your life force will help your body heal and remain healthy.
Thoughts and feelings can affect the life force. If you have negative thoughts or negative feelings about yourself, the flow of your life force becomes disrupted causing diminished functioning of your body organs. Your overall body balance (physical, mental and emotional), medically termed homoeostasis, is disturbed. You then become ill.
How does Reiki work?
Reiki treatment increases your supply of life force energy and helps you heal quickly. It promotes relaxation, makes you feel at peace, and reduces your stress. You start moving toward your unique physical, mental, and spiritual balance, and your body’s own healing mechanisms begin to function more effectively.
Reiki is administered by the hands, placed lightly on or near the body of the patient. The healing energy from the body and hands of the Reiki practitioner flows to the patient. The patient then experiences feelings of relaxation, mental clarity, pain relief, decreased anxiety, and a sense of well-being. Research has shown that this occurs because the activity of parasympathetic autonomic nervous system in the patient increases significantly.

“The human body is designed to heal itself, but sometimes it needs a little help. Your body wants to feel better, and I want to help you get there. A lifetime of my own chronic pain has taught me tools that work, and I’m committed to helping others heal.”

Robyn is a Myofascial Release Specialist and Craniosacral Therapist whose specialty is working with humans who have pain and/or dysfunction in their bodies, who haven’t experienced lasting relief from traditional massage modalities and other pain relief approaches. Robyn takes a holistic approach to every client with a unique, customized treatment plan based on each person’s goals. She does not believe in a “one size fits all” approach when it comes to people’s experiences of their bodies. A session with her is different from traditional massage. Her clients may remain clothed in a pair of loose-fitting shorts and a tank top, so that she has access to their skin. Also, oils and lotions are rarely used. Her techniques are subtle, gentle and invite the body to heal itself. She customizes a blend of different bodywork techniques to release fascial strain and pain patterns from her client’s bodies. She also has training in postural analysis, which helps her look at her client’s body and visually assess where an imbalance might be occurring, as well as how to resolve it. Her approach is targeting and treating the cause of the pain, rather than just focusing on the symptoms. Robyn has devoted her life to learning and performing the most effective bodywork techniques so that she can help you get back to living your life with more freedom of movement, and less pain. She received her Massage Therapy training at the Cortiva Institute in Piscataway, NJ in 2007. In 2022, she completed another program at The Therapeutic Massage and Training Center in Westfield, NJ. She has received advanced training and certifications in Barnes Myofasical Release, Upledger’s Craniosacral Therapy, Reiki (Usui), Barral’s Visceral Manipulation and Neuromuscular Therapy. Robyn’s a continuing education junkie, yogi and a lover of animals and the outdoors.
